How to Shoot a Basketball Acccurately

Every shot a basketball player takes should follow the same shooting form, whether the shot is contested or wide open. Before you are about to shoot, the ball should be near your waist, with your dominant hand on the bottom of the ball and your non-dominant hand on the side. As you shoot, the ball should be pushed off of your dominant hand with a flick of your wrist, and your arm should be pointed diagonally, at around a 45 degree angle. However, you shouldn't put your arm down immediately. Bringing your hand down after a short amount of time causes your shot to have less accuracy. If you are stepping into your shot, you should catch the ball with your legs a few inches from the ground, and the ball should be near your chest. But when you land, the ball should go down to your waist, and then you just follow the steps listed previously.
