My name is Sam and I am a junior high student. Some of my hobbies are skiing, piano, hiking, writing, photography, and cooking. My favorite food is sushi, and my favorite dessert is tiramisu. I have two cats named Pizzi and Mochi. They are two years old.
During winter, I usually ski at a resort called Palisades Tahoe, formerly know as Squaw Valley / Alpine Meadows. As the name says, it it located in Tahoe, specifically Olympic Valley. Since I've been skiing for a lot of my life, I ski double-black diamond runs now. Some of my favorite ski lifts at palisades and alpine are Scott, Summit, Granite Chief, Headwall, and the infamous KT-22. I generally like skiing either powdery mogul tree runs, or smooth, steep groomed runs.
During summer, I like traveling to adventurous places and countries. I also like beach vacations. About a year ago, I went to French Polynesia. We spent half of the trip on an island called Mo'orea, and for the second half, we flew to an island called Bora Bora. When we were in Bora Bora, we spent the trip at the Four Seasons, staying in a overwater bungalow. We did a lot of activities when we were there like snorkeling, SUP-boarding, and pure enjoyment of the crystal clear water. The food there was delicious, having a variety of French pastries and Tahitian fish.
My favorite hobby is cooking. I love making food, but sadly, I'm often not allowed to do really big projects, such as making French Macarons, because it creates too much of a mess. I often make dinner for the family, because I find enjoyment and tranquility in cooking. Some of the foods I've made I am proud of, because most bakers can find them difficult. I've made Macarons, Japanese Soufflé pancakes, and other recipes that can be complicated. I really want to make croissants some time, a challenge that would be cool to take on.
