One of my studies is piano. I take lessons every Tuesday, and I have 2 recitals a year. I have been playing since I was seven. I usually play classical, but sometimes I do music of my choice, such as movie soundtracks. I really want to learn how to make my own compositions at some point. My favorite composers to play are Claude Debussy, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Ludwig Van Beethoven. I recently did a recital and played a song by Rachmaninoff called "Prelude in C# Minor." This is one of the hardest pieces I've played because of the fast movement and far stretched chords.
I am taking Spanish 1A with Mrs. Collantes and we have been working on a story called Peter Va a Colombia. In one chapter, it talks about museums in Bogota. We are working on a project exploring Museo de oro, Museo de Fernando Botero, and Catedral Primera. Another class I do is writing. One of our first assignments was flash fiction, which is a genre of writing that contains quick writing, usually around one page of text. I wrote flash fiction story about a plane crash. Recently, I just turned in my Expository Essay about the way the internet changed the way our society functions. In literature, we just started reading a book called Refugee, which contains three different story lines. One of the storylines is about a boy named Josef, who is trying to escape Nazi Germany. Another character is named Isabel, who is from Havana, Cuba. The last character is named Mahmoud, who is from Syria who escapes the Arab Spring, the civil war in Syria. In History,
