More About Me: School Clubs

As I mentioned before, I am a Junior High student at Pinewood. I like Algebra, Writing, and Computer Science because they are all engaging in different ways. At Pinewood, I am currently envoloved with two clubs: Ocean Ambassadors and JH (Junior High) Yearbook. In Ocean Ambassadors, students who are signed up have the opportunity to explore ocean wildlife including ways like volounteering at ocean clean ups, Kayaking, and much more. I signed up for this club because the ocean is very fascinating to me and I love kayaking. Also, we can sign up for ocean clean ups which count towards our 20 volounteer hours needed for school.

Additonally, I am apart of JH Yearbook. In this club, we choose the theme for our upcoming yearbook (only 7th and 8th grade) which we already have done. Students in this club also take photos of events at lunch or anytime. It does not have to be an event to capture, but it can be anything as simple as people having a good time eating lunch. This year, the theme for our JH Yearbook is going to be "Movies". Origionally, our group settled on "Netflix" as a theme but due to copyright issues, we had to change it to "Movies" in order for it to be allowed. I am very excited to exceed the year in these clubs and see if I enjoy them enough to do it again next year!
