Here is a list of Ingredients that you would want:
Here is the list of utensils and items you will need:
Cornstarch
Trader Joe's Pork Dumplings
Olive Oil
Nonstick Pan
A 1 cup sized cup
A lid that fits the pan
A spoon
Tongs
Bowl and Paper towel
A plate that fits the pan
Now, let's get into how to make the dumplings.
Step 1: Set all your ingredients in a place you feel comfortable in putting it. Then take the cup, cornstarch, and the spoon. Take one spoon full of cornstarch and put it into the cup. Then fill the cup with cold water and set that aside.
Step 2: Start heating up the pan below medium. Then take the dumplings and pour the amount that you would like on the paper towel. Pour olive oil in the pan till full, and put your dumplings in a circle. Set the heat to high, and put the lid over the dumplings.
Step 3: Take the cup that you filled with cornstarch and water. Then stir it with the spoon for around 1 minute 30 seconds. While doing this monitor the dumplings so they don’t burn. Once the dumplings are done, take the dumplings out of the pan with the tongs onto the paper towel.
Step 4: Carefully pour the oil into a glass bowl, and leave it there until it is not as hot. If you pour it into your trash bag, it will burn it. From there, give the cup a good 20 second stir again so it stays consistent. If there is still oil in the pan, wipe it off with a paper towel.
Step 5: Start heating the pan at medium heat, and one by one put your dumplings in a circle so they fit. Then, make your heat a tad bit higher, and stir for 10-15 seconds in the cup. Pour the liquid in the cup into the pan, and if you are comfortable, set your heat to high. Put the lid over the pan, and wait till your cornstarch is flaky and golden. Throw the cup in the dishes as well as the tongs. Optional step: I would recommend you clean your kitchen right now so you don't have to do it later.
Step 6: Once the liquid has become golden brown and flaky, put a plate that fits over the pan, and lay it on top. Hold the pan and the plate on the top, and flip the pan upside down so the dumplings fall onto the plate. Once done, the dumplings will be upside down in a beautiful formation. I would recommend you pair these dumplings with chili oil to have more flavor.
This is what the finished product should look like.
