LEGO Instructions

Making LEGO Models is fun. Have you ever made a model that you liked so much you never want to take apart? Oh, but there's a piece there you need for you next model. It's your only one! Ah, it appears a dilema has arisen. NEVER FEAR! I have a solution. I shall teach you how to make instructions. You can create instructions. This will enable you to recreate your model. (provided you have the pieces on hand...)

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

Step 4:

Step 5:

First, take your complete model and a device that can take pictures like a phone, and bring them to a hard, bland surface. A wooden floor or empty desk works well for this. Next, position your model in a display postion-try to place any minifigures in the front or clearly showing. Now, take a picture. Because we are working in reverse, this is your final picture, showing the completed model. Note: This means that by the end, your model will be in pieces, but you will have the means to re build it.

For your second picture, remove all the minifigures and any smaller parts of the model, leaving only the largest segment. If you model has no minifigures and only one part, the first picture and the second picture are the same, so delete one.

Now, remove a couple pieces from your model. Do not remove a piece that cannot be easily seen from the previous picture or a piece that has pieces on top it. There is no exceptions. (Unless you fancy yourself experienced at this and need to slightly alter the rule...*) Take a picture of the most recently removed pieces and the model. Repeat again and again.

Eventually, you will end up with a bunch of pieces and a bunch of pictures. If you go through them statrting with you most recent one, grabbing the pieces and placing them on in the next picture, eventually, you'll have rebuilt your model. If you have other, smaller parts, (Not minifigures) disassemble them in the same way.

For Minifigures, Take a picture of them completed and them disassemble them and mke a diagram sugesting how to biuld them. Take a picture of this diagram as well.

One last optional thing. If you want to add a piece list to your instructions, arrange every piece, even duplicates, and take a picture. This may take multiple pictures. However, it is tedious to do this.
