How to Make Slime

Background about me:

Ever sense I was little (around 8) I love to play with slime. My sister would teach me how to make slime, but when we would make slime my parents would get very made because it was very messy (if your parents say you can't make slime don't make it). So for a around a year, I did not make slime but then one summer I went to a summer camp and we made slime 2 days a week and that sparked my love again. So now I make slime around one a month and my parents don't care that much because I learned how to not make a mess. Some of the main reasons that I make slime is that it is a sensory toy and it is just fun to make.

Materials you need: Clear glue, shaving cream, slime activator (such as borax solution or contact lens solution), food coloring (optional).

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Mix half a cup of clear glue in a bowl.

2. Add shaving cream (about a cup) and stir well until it becomes fluffy.

3. Add a few drops of food coloring for a pop of color (In my video I did not add food coloring).

4. Gradually add the activator (Slime activator or contact lens solution) a little at a time while stirring until the slime starts to form.

5. Knead the slime with your hands until it becomes stretchy and fluffy. If it’s too sticky, add more activator! Tip: A fluffy texture means it’s ready!
