How to Make & Fly a Paper Airplane

Since 5th grade, I've searched across the internet for the best paper airplane. I've found stunt planes, glider planes, sleek arrow-like planes, boomerang planes, and more. I've come to the conclusion that there is no "best" paper airplane, and that all types have their own different cool aspects. However, I do have a favorite. It is a modified, simpler version of a plane called the Stealth Dart, which was made by John Collins. This plane is easy to make and can glide straight for several meters.

Materials

How to Fold the Airplane:

  1. Fold your paper in half hot-dog style
  2. Fold the top two corners to the center line
  3. Fold the point down onto the center line
  4. Fold the point back up to the top
  5. Tuck the sides under the point
  6. Fold in half
  7. Fold the wings down
  8. Fold up the ends of the wings and add ailerons
  9. Tape the tip
  10. Write your plane's name on it

How to Fly the Airplane:

  • Experiment with angles (straight, low, or high)
  • Experiment with strength (hard, medium, soft)
