I've been skiing since I was six years old, and it has always been one of my favorite winter activities. I loved the feeling of carving down the slopes, the rush of cold air, and the freedom that skiing gave me. But recently, I decided it was time for a new challenge and made the switch to snowboarding. At first, it was a completely different experience—I had to relearn my balance, figure out how to turn properly, and get used to having both feet strapped to the board. There were definitely some frustrating moments, especially in the beginning, but the more I practiced, the more I started to enjoy it. The best part is that for my birthday, I got my very own snowboard, which has made learning even more exciting. Now, instead of renting gear, I get to ride a board that truly feels like mine. Every time I hit the slopes, I feel myself improving little by little, and I'm starting to love snowboarding just as much as I loved skiing. It’s been an amazing change, and I can't wait to keep pushing myself to get better!
I started playing basketball when I was five and stopped playing when I was seven because I thought it was very boring. I started playing basketball again for pinewood when I was twelve because I thought I would just give it a try. After a few months of playing, I started to really enjoy basketball and now it is something that I do in my free time.
I love biking. My dad has been mountain biking for many years and has brought me along on many biking trips. I also used to go biking with some of my friends which was always a rejuvinating experience at the end of every week. Instead of succumbing to the numbing experience of doomscrolling, I go outside and envelop myself in the calming sounds of nature. I love the feeling of the cold and hard wind beating against my face when I am descending down a mountain.
