On a typical school day, I have four periods in my block schedule. I love the block schedule because it gives me time to complete homework and classwork at a slower pace and less stressful matter. I have 8 total class periods including classes such as Algebra 1A, Computer Science, Literature, Spanish 1 Accelerated on my day 1 schedule and classes such as Writing, Science, Physical Education, and History on my day 2 schedule. I personally love my day two schedule since all 4 of my favorite classes are on the same day. My two most favorite classes are writing and science since writing is a very calming and relaxing class and science is a very fun and hands-on class. I also love that there are transitions between each class and each class has a longer period of time for teaching and working.
After school, I usually will have some sort of club(s) that I will attend, most likely debate or robotics. In my opinion, I think that robotics is the more interesting and fun topic since we are actually able to collaborate and build/program robots that use the VEX format. I’m also part of the Pinewood swim team, which is where everybody who is interested in swimming and has been swimming for long periods of time are able to complete certain milestones and compete against other schools teams just like any other branch of the Pinewood’s sport program. I also work on piano and visual arts outside of school and I often enjoy both of these topics since I find them a good mind break from school and a fun and relaxing activity to be spending part of my time doing.
