All About Me!
Hi! My name is Keira and I am a Junior High student at Pinewood School. I just started 7th grade and I am having so much fun! I have been at Pinewood since I was in kindergarten. I have multiple pets, some of which include: cats, dogs, turtles, chickens, birds, fish, and even more, but the list would go on forever. My favorite thing about pinewood is the 10 minute breaks we get in between classes. It gives us time to grab materials we need for the next class, eat a quick snack, and talk to our friends.
My favorite sport and Pinewood is volleyabll! It's so much fun! A nice coach, fun practices, and stress free games. Another fun thing about this school is the no homework week. We get two throughout the year. Happiness week is one of the weeks were everyday is something different. Through the week you get treats, there's a spirit day, and fun activities. We have these days called community days, ofice hours, and advisory days. Community days are where we do assemblys, office hours we go to the class we need to work on, and advisory days are like checkups or catch ups even do your homework, but we sometimes play games and take surveys to see how we are doing.
At upper we have a student council. There is a president, vice president, spirit, publicity, activities director, and culture and community. President, vice president, and spirit get voted on by others. The other jobs (publicity, activities directer, and culture and community) are interviwed for and of course everyone can run. All the student council members, incluing 8th grade, get to set up the dances. There is a halloween dance, winter formal dance, and a valentines dance. The student council sets up the dances. Pinewood has ton of fun things and I would never go to another middle school.
